Are Media today announced that Bumble has returned as principal sponsor of the marie claire Glass Ceiling Series which celebrates trail-blazing women and game-changing companies smashing gender boundaries in the workplace.
Launched in 2019 as the Glass Ceiling Awards, this year’s event is pivoting to a virtual breakfast with a panel of “ceiling smashers” including Danni Minogue, Brooke Boney and Lucille McCart, Bumble associate director, APAC, PR & communications.
Hosted by journalist and commentator Jan Fran, the marie claire + Bumble Glass Ceiling Series, called The Pivot. The Purpose. The Powerhouse, will share the collective wisdom of the special guests who will offer advice on staying resilient, taking risks, overcoming adversity, and leading the way.
Lucille McCart from Bumble, which has returned as headline sponsor, said: “We are proud to be partnering with marie claire on the Glass Ceiling Series for the second year. Bumble was founded with the goal of putting women in the driver’s seat of their dating lives, and challenging outdated gender roles in order to allow healthy and equitable relationships to flourish. I couldn’t think of a publication more aligned with this goal than marie claire, and we look forward to bringing this virtual event to life and celebrating strong, empowered women with our audience.”
In addition to the interactive virtual discussion, the event will be supported with a digitally led pre- and post-event campaign.
Nicky Briger, editor of marie claire, added: “I’m delighted that Glass Ceiling is back for the second year, albeit in a slightly altered Covid-safe format. We have assembled a panel of exceptional women who are ready to share their career and life insights, particularly relevant in what’s been a turbulent year for all of us. I want to thank Bumble for once again coming on-board to support us in celebrating strong women.”
The free virtual event takes place on Wednesday, December 9 at 10am.
